Description描述：Clinically affected; diagnosed in early 30's; about one year prior to diagnosis aching in the arms was noted, followed by loss of strength and diminished grip; muscle atrophy, including interossei and lubricals in both upper extremities and muscles of the pectoralis group; poor manipulation with fine objects using hands; poor central vision in right eye with atrophic right disc; myotonia; baldness and loss of body hair; distal weakness; pectus excavatum; marked weakness to dorsiflexion of both ankles as well as to toe extension; sloppy gait; weakness to small muscles of hands; myotonic response of the tongue and both thenar eminences; deep tendon reflexes are diminshed; nominal facial diaparesis; weakness to lid closure with little lid lag noted; affected son is GM04647; affected father is GM05142; affected sister is GM05281
