Description描述：Line HIAE-101. The iliac artery was removed from a braindead, heartbeating cadaver, organ donor on 3/08/88. The donor died of malignant glioma and had no other diseases. The culture was initiated on 3/09/88 using cells released from the lumen of the vessel by collagenase digestion. Cell morphology is polygonal. The culture was grown on gelatin-coated flasks and the medium was supplemented with 0.02 mg/ml crude ECGS and 0.05 mg/ml heparin An iliac vein endothelial cell culture from this same donor is AG10770A. This culture tested positive for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor and negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin (immunofluorescence assays). The karyotype is unstable.
