14-124ACL, TLR4/IL-8 Leeporter Luciferase Reporter-HeLa Cell Line is a cell line engineered to study the activation of the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathway.
TLR4: This receptor is a crucial component of the innate immune system, recognizing bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and triggering an inflammatory response.
IL-8: Interleukin-8 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a key role in recruiting immune cells to sites of infection or injury.
Leeporter™: This refers to a specific type of luciferase reporter system. Luciferase is an enzyme that produces light in the presence of its substrate.
In this cell line, the luciferase gene is placed under the control of the IL-8 promoter. HeLa Cell Line:This is a widely used immortalized human cell line derived from cervical cancer cells.
How it works:
TLR4 Activation: When the cell line is exposed to a TLR4 agonist, such as LPS, TLR4 is activated.
