BioVector® 4T07 is one of several sublines derived from a spontaneous mammary tumor in BALB/c mice (the 4T1 lineage). This cell line is highly valued in cancer research as it represents a specific stage in the metastatic cascade: it can disseminate from the primary tumor and form micrometastases in the lungs, but it fails to proliferate into macrometastatic nodules. This makes it an ideal model for studying tumor cell survival, immune evasion, and metastatic inefficiency.
