通用定义 / General Definition:

BioVector® IU-TAB1 是一种源自 A 型胸腺腺瘤(Type A Thymoma)的人类细胞系。胸腺瘤是一种罕见的起源于胸腺上皮细胞的肿瘤,而 BioVector® IU-TAB1 是极少数可用于此类癌症研究的体外模型之一。它为研究胸腺上皮肿瘤的遗传特性、肿瘤微环境相互作用以及评估新型靶向疗法提供了独特的平台。

BioVector® IU-TAB1 is a human cell line derived from a Type A thymoma. Thymomas are rare neoplasms originating from the thymic epithelial cells, and BioVector® IU-TAB1 represents one of the few available in vitro models for this cancer type. It provides a unique platform for studying the genetic characteristics of thymic epithelial tumors, tumor microenvironment interactions, and evaluating novel targeted therapies.

4. 注意事项

  • 传代建议: 建议在细胞达到 80% 左右汇合度时进行传代。由于该细胞系可能生长缓慢,传代比例建议初次尝试 1:2。

2. Culture Conditions

  • Basal Medium: BioVector® RPMI 1640 Medium

3. Applications

  • Molecular pathogenesis studies of Thymic Epithelial Tumors (TETs).

  • Anti-tumor drug screening and efficacy evaluation specifically for Type A thymomas.

  • Research on thymic tumor immunobiology, including interactions between tumor cells and T-cells.

4. Key Usage Notes

  • Rarity: As a rare thymoma model, maintaining phenotypic stability is critical; it is recommended to limit the number of passages.

  • Subculture: It is recommended to subculture when the cell density reaches approximately 80% confluence. Due to its potentially slow growth rate, a starting split ratio of 1:2 is suggested.


Note: BioVector® IU-TAB1 cells should be handled under Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) protocols. To ensure consistent experimental results and support the specific nutritional requirements of thymic epithelium, always use BioVector® RPMI 1640 Medium and BioVector® Fetal Bovine Serum.
