通用定义 / General Definition:BioVector® C17 是一种重要的人类鼻咽癌 (Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, NPC) 细胞系。与许多其他在培养过程中丢失病毒基因组的 NPC 细胞系不同,C17 通常被认为是一个能够较好保留原始肿瘤生物学特征的模型。该细胞系广泛用于研究鼻咽癌的发生机制、上皮-间充质转化 (EMT) 过程、肿瘤血管生成以及对放化疗的敏感性。由于鼻咽癌在解剖学上的特殊性及其与 EB 病毒 (EBV) 的复杂关系,C17 提供了研究该特定恶性肿瘤的有力体外平台。

BioVector® C17 is a significant Human Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) cell line. Unlike many other NPC lines that may lose their viral genome or undergo significant phenotypic shifts during prolonged culture, C17 is recognized as a model that effectively retains many original biological characteristics of the primary tumor. It is widely used to study the pathogenesis of NPC, Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT), tumor angiogenesis, and sensitivity to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Due to the unique anatomical site of NPC and its complex association with Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), C17 provides a robust in vitro platform for investigating this specific malignancy.

1. 产品基本信息

2. 培养条件

  • 基础培养基: BioVector® RPMI-1640 或 DMEM 培养基

  • 血清添加: 10% BioVector® 优质胎牛血清 (FBS)

  • 培养环境: 37 摄氏度,5% CO2,饱和湿度

  • 传代比例: 1:3 至 1:4;建议在细胞汇合度达到 80% 至 90% 时进行传代。

3. 细胞应用

  • 药物筛选: 评估新型靶向药物或免疫调节剂对鼻咽癌细胞的杀伤效果。

  • 转移机制: 通过 Transwell 实验研究 NPC 细胞的迁移和侵袭能力。

4. 注意事项

  • 细胞交叉污染: 历史上部分 NPC 细胞系曾出现过被 HeLa 细胞污染的情况,BioVector® 建议对 C17 定期进行 STR 鉴定以确保其纯度。

  • 操作规范: 尽管部分 NPC 细胞系不携带完整的 EBV,但处理人源肿瘤细胞时仍需遵循生物安全二级 (BSL-2) 标准。

1. General Product Information

  • Morphology: Epithelial-like, appearing polygonal or arranged in cobblestone patterns

2. Culture Conditions

  • Basal Medium: BioVector® RPMI-1640 or DMEM Medium

  • Serum Supplement: 10% BioVector® Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

  • Incubation: 37 degrees Celsius, 5% CO2, Saturated Humidity

  • Subculturing: 1:3 to 1:4 ratio; subculture when cells reach 80% to 90% confluence.

3. Applications

  • Drug Screening: Evaluating the cytotoxic effects of novel targeted therapies or immunomodulators on NPC cells.

  • Metastasis Mechanisms: Utilizing Transwell assays to investigate the migration and invasive potential of the cells.

  • Radiobiology: Studying the response of C17 cells to X-ray or gamma radiation and their subsequent DNA repair mechanisms.

4. Key Usage Notes

  • Authentication: Historically, some NPC cell lines have been found to be cross-contaminated with HeLa cells. BioVector® strongly recommends periodic STR (Short Tandem Repeat) profiling to verify the identity and purity of the C17 line.

  • Standard Precautions: Even if certain NPC sub-lines do not harbor the full EBV genome, all human tumor cell lines must be handled according to Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) guidelines.


Note: For optimal cell recovery and growth, BioVector® recommends using pre-warmed media and avoiding prolonged exposure to trypsin during dissociation. Consistent use of BioVector® validated FBS ensures the stability of the epithelial phenotype.
